The municipality of Runavík, where Atlantic Supply Base is located, and which is responsible for management of Runavíkar harbour, is committed to providing the company with the best possible framework to operate within.
The Base Expansion which was planned are temparary finished.
Part of this commitment is to continuously expand the harbour area and the quayside in line with the increasing activity on the base.
In the summer of 2018, the 2.nd phase of the harbour’s expansion program was completed.
Now there are around 30.000 m2 of harbour area, 321 m of quayside with minimum depth of 12 m, and 800 m with depth between 6-12 m.
The new quay are equipped with Oil separator in the drainage system.
The additional harbour capacity now available will allow Atlantic Supply Base to expand its activities beyond the Faroes CS to UK WOS (West of Shetlands) on the Atlantic Margine.
